IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE:

In early September, 2006, the owner detected an effort to "Google Bomb" this web site. The owner has good reason to believe this attack is being led by realtors and/ or mortgage brokers, and possibly, a small group of enablers. The "Google Bomb" attack uses derogatory and defamatory search terms to describe this news site. Today, September 16, 2006, NewsPundit.net gives fair notice to these alleged conspirators that they are engaged in a defamatory attack, and possibly illegal conduct, for the purpose of furthering their business enterprises.

Among the federal criminal statutes possibly triggered by this attack are the RICO Act and numerous state statutes. If these attacks continue, the owner will have no choice but file formal complaints with the federal authorities in Washington, D.C. (This notice about derogatory "Google Bomb" attacks was posted on September 16, 2006 and updated on September 25th).

Later in September, 2006, there were renewed efforts to bring down this web site. These hacking and cracking attacks are an illegal effort to censor the owner's right to free speech. Fair warnings have been ignored. The appropriate legal authorities will be duly notified. At the end of September, we posted a link to this legal notice on a well known political message board. The hacking attacks fell off dramatically from over 200 a month to only about 20 in November. This information will be provided to the proper legal authorities.

NewsPundit.net was initially set up as a hobby site for a disabled person. No business activity of any type or nature had been engaged in or promoted on this web site for over two years. On or about July, 2005, I was advised by my lawyer that certain limited business activities are permitted even though I am disabled. This web site complies with the requirements of law and the restrictions therein.

Because of suspected abuse of "Safe List" email by persons unknown we have deactivated all direct links to safe list providers. When we identify the persons whom we believe have been impersonating the owner and/ or sending vile SPAM messages to the owner's private email address and to others, this illegal activity will be reported to federal and state authorities. We have already notified the Federal Trade Commission of repeated efforts by hackers and crackers trying to bring down this web site and efforts to impersonate the owner on the Internet.

In a recent case a Federal judge sentenced defendants involved in hacking and identity theft to nine years.

More information about illegal attacks by spam artists, hackers and crackers is posted here. Since July, 2006, this site has received hundreds of visits from strange porno site referrals. We believe in good faith this activity is part of an ongoing conspiracy to disparage and defame this web site. More about these strange referrals from pornographic sites is posted below. Such activties are typical of activities engaged in by people who attack this web site.

Strange Referrals from Pornographic Web Sites

In September and again in November, 2004 this site received 30 or more referrals from two pornographic web sites that apparently promote illegal activity. In February, 2005, this site received referrals from an obscure web site located in Russia. The Russian site attempted to launch a virus attack as soon as we logged on. The referring site purports to be selling "prescription medication." We remain clueless about why a commerical site in Russia would refer visitors to NewsPundit.net. We do not advertise on or support any commerical web sites.

NewsPundit.net does not advertise on these pornographic referral sites, or on any pornographic site, and certainly does not have any personal knowledge of those web sites or any knowledge of their vile content. By checking Google we located other pornographic sites that link to them, and from the search words listed in the meta tags learned that both sites may have illegal content. Certainly, rape videos and photos of very young victims makes such content highly suspect. We have reported these sites and our suspicions of violations of federal law to the appropriate legal authorities.
